Guest poet: Alicia Stubbersfield
Alicia Stubbersfield’s fourth collection The Yellow Table (Pindrop Press) was
published in 2013 and described as ‘a humane collection about human
vulnerability’ by Gillian Clarke. Michael Laskey said ‘A light touch and
luminous clarity characterise these grown-up poems.’ She lectured in Creative
Writing at Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Aberystwyth
and regularly tutors for The Arvon Foundation. Now that she is back in Cheltenham,
she is Writer-in-Residence at Gloucester Academy as part of a collaboration
between Cheltenham Festivals and First Story.
