Martyn Crucefix is a poet, critic and translator. His collection,
Between
a Drowning Man, has just been published by Salt. Cargo
of Limbs appeared with Hercules Editions
in 2019. These Numbered Days, translations of poems from the German
of Peter Huchel (published by Shearsman Books) won the 2020 Schlegel-Tieck Translation
Prize. His selected translations from across Rilke’s career will be
