Daniel Sluman is a 39 year old poet and disability activist. He co-edited the first major UK disability poetry anthology Stairs and Whispers: D/deaf and Disabled Poets Write Back and he has published four poetry collections with Nine Arches Press. His third collection single window was shortlisted for the T S Eliot prize, and his most recent collection Pain Songs was released in May 2026, longlisted for the Forward Prize and shortlisted for the PEN Heaney award.
