John Gallas: Born and grew up in Nelson and St Arnaud, New Zealand. Came to
England to study Old Icelandic, and stayed. Worked for Leicestershire Special
Needs Education. Poem books published by Carcanet (10), Agraphia (2), Cold Hub
New Zealand (2) and Magpie Press. Presently working on Love Poems, ‘Bodwin &
the Beasts’, and a 21st Century ‘Divine Comedy’.
