David Clarke's first pamphlet Gaud won the Michael Marks Award in 2013. His first full collection, Arc,
was published by Nine Arches in 2015 and was longlisted for the Polari
First Book Prize. Recent poems have appeared in magazines such as Long Poem Magazine, Magma, Bare Fiction and Tears in the Fence. He currently teaches on-line for The Poetry School.
Cliff Yates’ latest collection, published by smith|doorstop in 2016, is Jam. His various collections include Henry’s Clock, winner of both the
Aldeburgh first collection prize and the Poetry Business book & pamphlet competition,
Frank Freeman’s Dancing School (Arts
Council England Writer’s Award) and Selected
Poems, a smith|doorstop ebook. He wrote Jumpstart
Poetry in the Secondary School during his time as Poetry Society
poet-in-residence, following the success of his students at Maharishi School in
poetry competitions. He has led courses and workshops for the Arvon Foundation,
the Poetry Society, the British Council, universities and schools in the UK and
abroad.
