Cliff Yates has published nine books and chapbooks of poetry. including Henry’s Clock, winner of the Fenton Aldeburgh First Collection Prize and the Poetry Business Book & Pamphlet Competition and Frank Freeman’s Dancing School (Arts Council England Writers Award). A New & Selected Poems is forthcoming from Smith/Doorstop. His recent chapbooks are Birmingham Canal Navigation (Knives Forks & Spoons) and Another Last Word (Red Ceilings). He wrote Jumpstart Poetry in the Secondary School during his time as Poetry Society poet-in-residence. He has led courses and workshops throughout the UK and abroad and is a former Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Aston University.

Sue Leigh’s second collection of poems, Her Orchards, has recently been published by Two Rivers Press. Her first book, Chosen Hill, was described by the TLS as ‘an intelligent and considered collection that pays homage to the act of paying attention’.  She has a pamphlet Chalk published by letterpress due out this spring.  Her work has been published in magazines and journals including the Oxford Magazine, The Spectator and the TLS. 

She teaches at Rewley House, Oxford University’s Department for Continuing Education and runs her own poetry courses. She lives in the Windrush valley and spends much time walking.

Alasdair Paterson’s most recent collections are Elsewhere Or Thereabouts(Shearsman Books 2014), Silent Years(Flarestack Poets 2017) and My My My Life(Shearsman Books 2021). Born in Edinburgh, a graduate of Edinburgh and Sheffield universities, he began writing in Liverpool in the 1970s and was given an Eric Gregory Award by the Society of Authors in 1975. Later he took a 20 year sabbatical from poetry before starting to write again after a career in academic libraries. He has travelled extensively, from San Francisco to Siberia, from Samarkand to Swaziland - and to many places in between not starting with an S. He lives in Exeter, where he organizes and presents the monthly Uncut Poets reading series.

 Belinda Rimmer’s poems appear in print and on-line journals, including: Under the Radar, Ambit, Prole, Acumen, Strix, The Curlew, Confingo, and Ink, Sweat & Tears. In 2018, she came second in the Ambit Poetry Competition, and in 2019 in the Stanza Poetry Competition. Her pamphlet, Touching Sharks in Monaco, was a joint winner of the Indigo-First Pamphlet Competition (published, 2019). She is part of a Stroud Poets Pamphlet (Yew Tree Press, 2021) with poems and the photographs that inspired them. Holding On, her most recent pamphlet, was published in November by New walk Editions. Clair Chilvers was a cancer scientist, and latterly worked for the UK National Health Service. She divides her time between writing and volunteering for the charity Mental Health Research UK that she co-founded. She lives in Gloucestershire, UK.
She has had poems published in online and print magazines including Agenda, Allegro, Amaryllis, Artemis, Atrium, the Ekphrastic Review, Impspired, Ink Sweat and Tears, Live Encounters. Poetry Atlas, Reach Poetry, Sarasvati and Snakeskin. She won second prize in the Poetry Kit Ekphrastic Competition 2020 and her poems have been longlisted or commended in the Cinnamon Press Pamphlet Prize 2020, and Poetry Kit Competition 2020. Her first collection Out of the Darkness (Frosted Fire) was published in 2021. Her second collection Island (Impspired Press) is forthcoming.  www.clairchilverspoetry.co.uk

John Greening was born in 1954 in London and apart from a spell working for Hans Keller at BBC Radio 3 he has taught for much of his life (including two years with his wife in Aswan, Upper Egypt). He has published over twenty collections of poetry, most recently the pamphlets The Giddings (Mica Press, 2021), a Post Card to (Red Squirrel Press, with Stuart Henson), Moments Musicaux (Poetry Salzburg, 2020) and his two Carcanet collections, The Silence (2019) and To the War Poets (2013). Other books include various guides to poets and poetry (Ted Hughes, Thomas Hardy, Edward Thomas, the First World War poets and Elizabethan love poets) together with editions of Iain Crichton Smith (Carcanet, 2021), Geoffrey Grigson and Edmund Blunden, whose memoir Undertones of War he edited for OUP at the request of Blunden’s daughter. He has reviewed poetry for the TLS since the 1990s. The collected reviews and essays, Vapour Trails, appeared from Shoestring Press in 2020. There have been several anthologies, notably Accompanied Voices: Poets on Composers from Thomas Tallis to Arvo Pärt (Boydell, 2015), Ten Poems about Sheds (Candlestick, 2018) and most recently Hollow Palaces (a selection of modern country-house poems, edited with Kevin Gardner, Liverpool UP, 2021). There was a Heathrow collaboration with Penelope Shuttle, Heath, in 2016, and an Egypt Memoir, Threading a Dream, the year after. There is to be an American Selected Poems (edited by Kevin Gardner) in 2023: The Interpretation of Owls (Baylor UP). Musical collaborations include contributions to Roderick Williams’s Schubert Project for which he worked closely with composer Cecilia McDowall, and a libretto about the Niagara Falls for the Dunedin Consort, premiered at Wigmore Hall. He was until recently RLF Writing Fellow at Newnham College, Cambridge. He has won the Bridport Prize, the TLS Centenary Prize and received a Cholmondeley Award from the Society of Authors.

Duncan’s poems have been published by Faber, Secker and Enitharmon, who brought out a Selected Poems, Lifelines, in 2009. It was drawn from five previous collections. Awards and prizes include a Gregory Award, TLS/Blackwells Prize, two Stephen Spender Times Translation Prizes and a Hawthornden Fellowship. Now retired, he lives in Gloucestershire, U.K.
